Art cards & prints for nature lovers
FLORA editions is a collection of art cards featuring the botanical and portrait drawings of Niagara-based artist & designer Catherine Toews. Catherine’s nature-inspired cards are printed locally on FSC-certified, acid-free, archival quality art paper with a luxurious silky finish and packaged inside certified compostable protective sleeves. Selected drawings from the collection are also available as 18×24″ & 12×12” Giclée fine art prints.
My STORY
I am a designer & artist based in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, where I was honoured to have been named a finalist for the 2024 Cultural Arts Award at the Women in Business Awards. This recognition, presented by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce and Women in Niagara, celebrates leadership in the arts.
My journey with flowers began with wildflowers. Before settling in Niagara, my family moved often, and during those times of transition, observing, studying, and drawing wildflowers became a grounding and comforting practice.
I was born and raised under the prairie skies of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
Now, I cultivate a small garden of my own. With the help of library books, I’m learning how to grow and care for flowers in my backyard. Summers are spent capturing inspiration through photos in the garden, while the quiet winter months are dedicated to drawing and planning for the next growing season.

FLORA editions is the artistic branch of Tulip Tree Creative, my one-woman design studio specializing in website design, branding, and communication design for small businesses, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations.
I live in the beautiful Niagara Region of Canada with my spouse & child. I work alongside a high powered creative team consisting of a large & hilarious dog named Pete & a quietly sophisticated cat named Sparkle.
